my unspoken

as i sit before you in my honest humbleness
you bring forth all that holds inside in fullness
i want to swim away in the tears that trickle
lost in a world that feels so shallow and fickle
my mind searches the labyrinth of my unspoken
hunting the words to pierce my heart thats broken
god invites me to be still and pay attention
not to wander in temptation for hollow distraction
i hear with music in his voice say
give my your emptiness so i can play
the fibres of your heart to a stillness
that will leave you full and breathless
then move you beyond your mind can know

where sleeping layers of thought lie thin

the heavy blanket you hide beneath
warms your pain with illusion of truth 
yet love lies so close to bequeath

embedded between the layers

love scented petals strewn

bring yourself home to honor, love and devotion
